The Baltic Institute of Finland is a non-profit foundation that was established in 1994. Our mission is to promote cooperation and projects in various fields between organisations operating around the Baltic Sea Region and throughout Europe. We enhance international cooperation between citizens, researchers, experts, public sector and business sector.
We have strong expertise in how to get EU- or national funding and right international partners for great project ideas in all fields. Our strong experience, in-depth knowledge of the Baltic Sea Region cooperation and European wide contact networks guarantee successful project applications.
Since late 1990s, we have prepared and lead or been involved in more than 100 European projects, and organized hundreds of events in Europe. We have actively contributed to the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and its flagship projects since the initiation of the strategy in 2005.
